Description

A safe home, better life and fairer future for everyone.

We were founded to help people facing the devastating effects of homelessness. Today, we also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty and inequality.

Porchlight is Kent’s largest poverty, health and housing charity, supporting more than 9,000 individuals and families every year.

We now have the opportunity for an engaging, inclusive and energising leader to join us as our new Chief Executive. You’ll lead an ambitious organisation and dedicated team, championing Porchlight, successfully advocating for our clients and the funding needed for our work with them.

A keen networker, you will use your deep understanding of the housing, health and social care landscape to build effective relationships and partnerships with wide-ranging stakeholders, including Kent regional and local government, housing providers, health providers and the broader voluntary sector.

Working closely with the board of trustees, the leadership team, and our wide-ranging stakeholders, you’ll steer our strategic direction, supporting a strong senior team to deliver effective services, inspiring confident and innovative approaches in a fast-evolving and often volatile external environment.

With previous Chief Executive or board-level senior leadership experience in a related organisation or sector, you’ll work collaboratively with your Board of Trustees to ensure Porchlight is compliant with regulations, including safeguarding requirements. In all of your work, you will keep the voice and needs of our clients at the heart of everything we do.

If you are values-led with a passion for creating tangible change in people’s lives, we invite you to learn more about this opportunity. Join us in our mission to create a society where everyone has a safe place to call home and the support they need to thrive.
